The Giant Angora, also called GermanA wonder to behold
Greetings! Welcome to more wonderful Giant Angoras! The Giant angora lives up to it's name in many ways. It has a wonderful disposition, and is the most impressive of the Angoras when in full show coat! The length of the coat reaching 12+ inches at times. It has been said that " the Giant angoras make a floor mat look busy!" They are on average around 10 - 11 pounds, and very loving. If you watch your blood lines, they make excellent mothers. Like breeding all animals, keep only the best stock for future breeding. The only accepted color for showing Giant Angoras at present is ruby eyed white ( REW). There are breeders working on presenting the color Black, but it will be a long time before they are accepted to be shown. So unless you find a cross bred Giant, you are limited on colors. The colored Giants will not be able to be shown.
As you can see with this picture, the Giants are very impressive. They often take multiple Best In Shows.
Fantasy Land's Tryon - 6 Best In Shows! Isn't he pretty! I also had a beautiful picture of my Giant Doe "Lady Elayne" on this page. Due to a petty certain person saying she owned the picture of my doe, I took it down. If you would like to see her I would be glad to email you one. She was a baby out of my stock that had 6 BIS during her short show season.
